The North American Briard Club show in Fort Myers had a nice Multicolor Standard Poodle turnout with 13 dogs, a healthy all-breed novice puppy turnout, and competition in all the standard poodle classes. The weather in Southwest Florida was HOT HOT HOT and our dogs were on fire! Poppy earned her Grand Championship and Rufio became our first 💎Gemstone dog with an Emerald Grand Championship. Rufio's breed competition this weekend will put him in the UKC Conformation top ten.

1 Reserve Best Puppy in Show (Neo - Neo is solid and not in the MC class)

8 Best of Breed wins (4-Rufio; 3-Neo; 1-Poppy)
13 Class wins (4-Soki; 4-Rufio; 3-Neo; 2-Poppy)
4 Best Female Wins (Soki)
4 Reserve Wins (3-Poppy; 1-Soki)
1 2nd Place Win
All of that translates to say that of six shows, Forest City dogs took five Best of Breed in MC and Neo took 50% of the awards in the solids puppy classes. All in all, we had a great weekend and our success shows us that we are the right track to producing great dogs!
I have to mention what a proud moment it was to have all three classes in the Best of Breed ring represented by Forest City dogs - Rufio as grand champion, Poppy as champion, and Soki as class dog. It was amazing entering the ring where the judge, not knowing the top three dogs were related, commenting on the quality of the dogs competing for BOB. Also on day two, Rufio, Poppy, and their dad Todd (ThruTheEyesOfPoodles) were pulled out in the GrCh lineup and placed accordingly.
