A Sweet Little Honor for Mochi

We recently received some fun news — Mochi earned the #2 spot in the UKC Top Ten for Spinoni Italiani in conformation for 2025. That placement also comes with an invitation to compete in the Premier Top Ten event in Kalamazoo, Michigan this June.

We’re really proud of her. Mochi has been such a joy to show — steady, willing, and always just happy to be there — and it’s nice to see that consistency recognized.

That said, we also like to keep things in perspective. UKC Spinoni aren’t exactly a packed class, and this particular ranking came from a pretty small group (family included, since her dad took #1). Still, you show the dog in front of you, and Mochi showed up exactly as herself all year long, which is what matters most to us. With several group placements in the packed Gun Dog group, we know we're on the right track.

We’re still deciding whether we’ll make the trip to Kalamazoo - between timing and travel costs, it may or may not be in the cards - but being invited is an honor in itself.

For now, we’ll celebrate this milestone for what it is: a nice recognition for a really good dog.
