Co-Own / Guardian Sport Home Opportunity — Neo • $1000 (negotiable)
👑Interested in Neo? Complete an application (opens in a new window)
We are selectively and thoughtfully seeking a local co-own home for our bred-by boy UGCh Forest City's Take the Red Pill "Neo" (see more here), a large 2-year-old blue Standard Poodle who offers a rare opportunity for someone looking to step directly into sport work with a started young adult dog.
Neo is a UKC Grand Champion with BCAT, CGCU, CGCA, and SPOT-On titles. He is fully housebroken, crate trained (crates used primarily at shows), travels well, and is well mannered in the home. His genetics are fully documented (OFA genetics clear, day blindness clear, eyes normal, listed as an outlier on BetterBred), with hips and cardiac scheduled for completion toward a CHIC number.
This placement is not about availability due to shortcomings—it's about matching the right dog to the right lifestyle. Neo has matured into a dog who thrives on activity, engagement, and partnership, and we want to see him in a home that actively enjoys training and spending time with their dog. He also has a lovely coat and would make a great grooming prospect.
Neo is not a puppy or a project. He is a ready-to-train teammate:
-
Past the housebreaking and adolescent chaos
-
Proven in public environments, crowds, shows, and parades
-
Mentally mature enough that his drives, preferences, and personality are clear
-
Actively seeking interactive work
While Neo has formal obedience training, he finds slow-paced precision work uninspiring. He excels when training high energy and feels like collaboration, making him especially well suited for rally, agility, Fast CAT, and other dynamic sports. He loves working with his person, not just performing tasks.
Temperamentally, Neo is reserved with strangers but deeply affectionate and loyal with those he knows. He sleeps on the bed, prefers close contact, and wants to be part of daily life. He's playful, silly, but a consummate student. He gets along well with other dogs, male and female, is more "beta" than alpha, but probably not an ideal companion for small prey animals as he can be a hunter. He is a parade favorite, an excellent companion for puppies, and a dog who is friendly with most anyone.
His coat is currently growing out; he bathes and tables easily and must be kept consistently groomed. He will remain intact and reserved for potential future breeding under breeder control only.
Placement will be within 100 miles of Orlando, Florida to allow for continued collaboration and support.
Who This Is For
-
Someone with experience and ambition to actively train and campaign a dog in sports
-
Someone familiar with Standard Poodles and their physical and mental needs
-
Someone seeking a young adult sport dog, not a puppy or a gamble
-
Someone comfortable with a binding co-ownership contract and clear boundaries
-
Someone who wants a true partner, not just a pet
Who This Is NOT For
-
Someone looking for a “free dog” or a dog for children
-
Someone wanting a male to breed their female or to generate income
-
Someone who might want to try sports someday but has no real commitment
-
Someone unwilling to keep a dog intact, groomed, and actively trained
Neo will never be bred without our explicit consent and will never be bred to merle, merle-lineage dogs, or any breed other than AKC Standard Poodles. His DNA is on file with UCDavis and AKC to ensure parentage integrity.
This is an opportunity to skip the puppy phase, avoid uncertainty, and step directly into working with a dog who is already proven, documented, and ready to do more—with the right person.
Serious inquiries from qualified, sport-minded homes are welcome.
Our Puppies: Bred for Health, Longevity, and Loving Companionship

At Forest City Standard Poodles, every litter is thoughtfully planned, and when we do have puppies, they become our world. We are now on the fourth generation of our line, a testament to the health, vitality, and longevity of our dogs. Each parent dog is extensively health tested and listed with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). As members of BetterBred, we also use their science-backed approach to improve health and genetic diversity in future litters.
Our puppies are raised in our home, where we use Puppy Culture and Avidog enrichment programs to build confident, well-adjusted companions who are prepared for life with you. This includes socialization, early training, and developmental activities that support strong temperaments and resilience in new environments.
