Meet Mochi, the Spinone Italiano!

While Neo and Poppy take a break from showing until the fall, we’ve added a fresh face to the crew, and surprise - it’s not a poodle! We are now Forest City Standard Poodles and a Spinone named Mochi!
While many standard poodle people add toys or minis or hairless breeds to their show rosters, serendipity led us on a different path; our friend Julia had a Valentines Day litter of nice Spinoni Italiani pups with a winning pedigree, and she offered us one pup in particular that we couldn't resist. That pup joined our pack back in April and her and Neo have become best buds.

It’s been intriguing to work with a totally different body structure, coat, and temperament. The drippy beard reinforces the fact that I’ll always be a poodle person, but Mochi has been a breeze to work with and everyone adores her soulful eyes and fun-loving, sweet nature. She’s our big baby. Mochi will be joining us on some show adventures this summer while the poodles recharge.
We started showing Mochi back in June and so far she's won 4 out of 5 Best of Breeds, two Group 3 and a Group 2, and has five points toward her AKC Puppy of Achievement award.
Excited to explore a new perspective, learn a lot, and have a little fun along the way. Welcome to the honorary poodle crew, Starfire Amore Mio Mochi at FCS!!
